The 230 cm long body harmoniously follows a parabolic curve.
The sides of the keyboard cross the sloping fronts of the grand piano, forming a gentle line. Thanks to the use of special polished steel, the lyre has a completely new profile: it appears light and transparent. Everything on the new grand piano had to be rounded off elegantly and smoothly to form a harmonious and completely uncluttered profile. "Peter MalyThe main feature of the new silhouette is the integration of the legs into a rolling frame.
This new frame line stands out from the body thanks to a chrome profile that is also visible at the lower end of the leg. All the fittings and bearings are chrome-plated, and thanks to the different external shape and the available metal notch, an elliptical surface appears on the inside in which the bonnet support is embedded.
When open, the lid of the soundboard fits precisely into the flat, angled recess, creating a truly convincing solution. Peter Maly has designed seven pianos and two grand pianos exclusively for Sauter.
