The 50,000th grand piano from our Viennese factory is distinguished by its refined lines. Produced to mark the 185th anniversary of the factory, it combines Bösendorfer sound with the aesthetics of neoclassical Vienna.
In 1867, the architects Theophil Hansen, who designed Vienna's Musikverein, and Anton Grosser each designed a piano for the Paris Universal Exhibition. These two instruments, veritable works of art, inspired the design of the Bösendorfer Opus 50 000. Cleverly enhanced by a fine gold-plated rod and a solid frame covered in gold leaf by our master craftsmen, this jewel of elegance charms without arrogance. Two caryatids, inspired by the gold statues in the Golden Hall of the Musikverein, frame the keyboard. Cast in bronze using the traditional lost-wax process, they are gilded with 24-carat fine gold.
The Opus 50 000, an enchanting piano and an unforgettable symbol of Vienna.
